Dads, This One's for You. Built for dads navigating ADHD
at home who are ready to show up differently.
On-demand, CDC-aligned 1:1 support for busy fathers
You're in it every day — the mornings, the homework, the moments that escalate faster than you expected. You love your kid. You want to show up differently. You're just not sure how.
Grateful Dads is a dad-centered coaching program built on the PAUSE People System — designed specifically for fathers navigating ADHD at home who are ready to understand what's actually happening, and make the kind of changes their family can feel. Real tools, real support, when you need it.
Here's how it works: Grateful Dads is built around 1:1 coaching with Dan — via Google Meet, on your schedule, with both scheduled and on-demand support for real life situations. If you're in Marin, there's also a monthly in-person Pizza Party in Larkspur — a free community gathering for dads who want to connect with others navigating the same thing. The coaching is the core. The pizza is the community.
Why Grateful Dads?
The name is a nod to the Grateful Dead's 1980 Mill Valley acoustic set — a night of music that brought joy to kids and families facing muscular dystrophy, right here in Marin. That same spirit of community, presence, and showing up for your family — that's what Grateful Dads is all about.
Showing up for your kids and family. Being present. The energy you bring matters. That's the whole thing.
THE PROGRAM
The Grateful Dads Backstage Pass $1,297 · 3 months · on-demand 1:1 coaching
Three months of CDC-aligned, 1:1 coaching built for busy fathers — grounded in the PAUSE People System and designed around real life, not a rigid schedule.
Here's what's included:
PAUSE People System deep dive · 1 hour · 1:1 with Dan via Google Meet The foundation of everything. A focused 1:1 session with Dan introducing the PAUSE framework — helping you understand your own patterns, what your child's nervous system is responding to, and how small shifts in you create real change at home. You'll leave with tools you can use the same week.
On-demand 1:1 coaching with Dan · same or next day · via Google Meet or phone Real situations come up between sessions — the school called, the morning fell apart, the homework battle escalated. Dan is the support that meets you there. Not a scheduled check-in two weeks from now. Practical guidance from someone who knows your family and knows this work — when you actually need it.
Monthly Grateful Dads Pizza Party · optional drop-in · in person in Larkspur Once a month, Grateful Dads gathers at the Legion in Larkspur — free pizza, real conversation, and a bunch of dads on the same road. Drop in when you can. It's a bonus, not a requirement.
All PAUSE materials in PDF Everything from your deep dive session, yours to keep and return to.
WHAT CHANGES
With real-time guidance, you learn to slow down, spot patterns you never noticed before, and consciously shape the routines, spaces, and interactions that define daily life at home — for you and your kids.
Here's what dads notice:
-
More steadiness in you. Your kids feel it immediately.
-
The morning gets smoother. So does bedtime.
-
You start catching yourself before it escalates — and so do they.
-
Home begins to feel more like a team.
-
You stop asking what's wrong with my kid — and start understanding what's happening, and how you can show up differently.
"There has been a total shift in our family dynamic. We are problem solving and simply working better as a team."
WHAT DADS SAY
-
"It's helping me think critically about my parenting style and break some patterns that aren't the most productive for raising my kids."
-
"Ripple really resonates. The idea of being present — and the energy I bring to the family, good and bad."
-
"I liked the intentionality of trying to be better and hearing other dads' stories and experiences. Learning from each other."
-
"Green/Yellow/Red — talking to my boys about how I'm feeling, yellow moving towards red. It resonates with my oldest."
-
"I'm setting us up for success by making sure I set my boys up for success — in the mornings, in the routines."
THE FREE PIZZA PARTY
Once a month, Grateful Dads gathers in person at the Legion in Larkspur. Free pizza, real conversation, a preview of the PAUSE People System, and a room full of Marin fathers who get it. The 1:1 coaching with Dan happens on Google Meet — but the Pizza Party is open to anyone who wants a taste of what Grateful Dads is about, no commitment required.
When: May 19, 2026
Where: American Legion, Larkspur. 7-8:15 PM

WHO IS THIS FOR
Grateful Dads is right for you if:
-
You're navigating ADHD at home — your child's, your own, or both
-
You want to show up differently but haven't had a framework that actually fits
-
You're a co-parent or divorced dad trying to get aligned around what works
-
You've tried the strategies — the books, the apps, the advice — and something is still missing
-
You want community with other dads who are in it too, without it feeling clinical
ABOUT DAN
Dan Leibowitz, M.Ed., M.S.Sped., C.E.T. is a credentialed teacher, certified educational therapist, and co-creator of the PAUSE People System, with 30 years of experience supporting students with ADHD, learning differences, and executive function challenges — and the families raising them.
He's also a father of two teens. He knows what this feels like from the inside — the good moments and the hard ones. Grateful Dads exists because he knows that the most impactful thing a dad can do is understand ADHD for what it actually is, examine his own patterns of reactivity, and learn to show up in the ways his child's nervous system is asking for.
That's the work. And it starts with a slice of pizza.
