Parent Coaching & Support for Families with Neurodiverse Kids in Marin County
You have an ADHD diagnosis or think it fits.
Now what?
You're not short on information. You're drowning in it. You need someone who can make sense of all of it, for your specific child, in your specific family.
That's what I do — and I've been doing it for over 30 years.
This isn't just coaching. It's vertical integration.
Most support stops at one layer. A therapist works on behavior. A tutor works on homework. A parent coach works on your reactions. None of them can see the whole picture and none of them talk to each other.
With 30+ years as a special education consultant, Director of Learning Support Programs, co-creator of the PAUSE People System, and father of two teens, I work across every layer at once:
-
Parent coaching: rewriting how ADHD gets handled at home through the seasons and transitions (CDC says it's the most important piece)
-
Bridging home and school: IEPs, 504s, and parent/teacher conferences -I've been on both sides of the table for three decades
-
Coaching / Educational Therapy for your child: academics, organization, self-regulation aka executive function skills & more teamwork at home
-
Decoding the neuropsychological evaluation: in plain English, with a real action plan for home and school
Stop reacting. Start responding.
The PAUSE System, which I co-created with Yulia Rafailova, is a research-backed framework that gives parents something concrete: a better way to understand ADHD and your own default patterns, interrupt the reactive cycle, and show up as the calm, grounded leader your kid and family actually need.
Not theory. Not homework. Practical tools you use the same week you learn them -and on-demand support when real life happens between sessions.
Two ways to work together:
The PAUSE System: 1:1 family coaching (for all parents)
For moms, dads, couples, and divorced families navigating ADHD at home. Start with a 60-minute deep dive into the PAUSE, then flexible, check-ins and on-demand phone coaching for 3 or 6 months. In-person at the Learning Lab in Kentfield or via Google Meet. Pricing on request — start with a free discovery call. Working with your child can be part of this package
Grateful Dads (for fathers)
A dad-centered version of the same system, plus monthly pizza parties with other Marin fathers navigating the same road -because dads need their own (non-clinical) space, and community matters.
A clear path forward:
Step 1: Discovery call (20 minutes, free)
We talk about where you are, what's not working, and whether this is the right fit. No pitch. Just a real conversation.
Step 2: If we're a fit, fill out our confidential Client Discovery Form. Share your family's strengths, challenges, rhythms, and goals—tailoring our coaching from the start.
Step 3: PAUSE System deep dive (60 minutes)
Step 4: Biweekly check-ins (or other cadence) + on-demand support
Regular sessions to track progress and go deeper. Plus phone coaching when real situations come up (the school called, the morning fell apart, the homework battle escalated. On-demand means on-demand.)
Step 5: A family that runs smoother -everyone feels it
Less reactivity. More cooperation. A kid who feels understood and parents who feel equipped, not just informed.
"It's helping me think critically about my parenting style and break some patterns that aren't the most productive for raising my kids." — Mother, PAUSE System
"Ripple really resonates. The idea of being present — and the energy I bring to the family, good and bad." — Father, Grateful Dads member
