As fun and fulfilling as it can be, raising kids can also be overwhelming -especially if you and/or your child have ADHD/executive function challenges. For better or worse, the household routines parents implement -by choice or by default- affect every aspect of our kids' lives and the family's dynamics.

Are you the parent or guardian of young kids who is ready to implement helpful changes?

Good news, you've landed in the right place.

My practice is currently full.  Now accepting inquiries for August, 2023.

I spent the first half of my career helping kids and teens become more efficient, organized, and confident learners. I'm refocusing the second half of my career on leveraging everything I have learned to coach parents to take practical, proactive measures that help them:

  • Understand: explore a simple, actionable model of executive function skills that applies to parents and kids alike
  • Reflect: how is your executive function profile helping and/or hindering home routines, communication patterns, and the development of your child's self-regulation skills?
  • Adjust: recalibrate environmental factors and routines that impact your child's self-regulation including sleep, screen time, communication patterns, exercise, unsupervised free time, tasks/chores and other issues that pertain to you, your kids, and your family
  • Support learning and attention challenges (LDs, ADHD, etc) with greater understanding and preparedness -at home and in collaboration with teachers
  • Communicate with your child (and spouse/partner) in ways that enable cooperation, while reducing drama and conflict.

For divorced parents:
  • Expert advice from a fellow co-parent and the primary caregiver of two sons, ages 11 and 13 on how to co-parent/collaborate in ways that reduce conflict, provide consistency, and support your child's executive function skills in two homes

Raising Capable Kids empowers parents to sow the seeds of executive function skills
during childhood, when kids are interested in parental involvement
and opportunities to lay helpful foundations abound.
