High school applications can add stress to an already busy 8th-grade year. If your child would benefit from a supportive, structured approach to planning, organizing, and drafting essay responses for high school applications then look no further.
The High School Essay Hub is comprised of 4 students and meets weekly on Tuesdays for a month. During this 4-session, in-person group, Hub participants will receive a Google Doc for each school on his/her list with the specific questions listed. Students will receive guided support:
The Hub aims to help students make significant progress on their essay responses and relieve some stress associated with the application process.
- Brainstorming response topics, supporting details, evidence
- Organizing ideas
- Clarifying and elaborating
- Articulating passions and highlighting unique aspects of themselves, family, experiences, etc.
- Offering and receiving feedback to/from Hub participants.

Who: Students in 8th grade who are applying to independent high schools. Hubs are limited to 4 students.

- Parents schedule a Google Meet call with Dan to say hello and confirm the Hub is a good fit for your child.
- If yes, schedule an optional brief meet and greet so we can say hello in person or on Meet
- Register

- A brief debrief mid-way or after the Hub dates is included in the registration fee.
- Parents can schedule additional consultation time.
