Would your rising 5th - 7th grader benefit from a supportive peer group in which to learn the nuts and bolts of organization and homework productivity? Then look no further.
The Homework Hub helps students start the new school year on strong footing by providing a fun, productive space in which to develop a range of organizational skills, while also working on their homework assignments.
Twice-weekly coaching sessions provide a light-hearted, supportive environment in which a group of 4 students get to know each other and learn all about:
Hub participants will also explore a range of actionable, real-world information related to understanding and strengthening their executive function skills.
Who:
Twice-weekly coaching sessions provide a light-hearted, supportive environment in which a group of 4 students get to know each other and learn all about:
- Identifying and implementing personalized organizational systems: materials, space, time/task management, Google docs, and more
- Creating and maintaining a weekly schedule
- Growth mindsets and frustration tolerance
- Technology tools: helpful iPad apps and Chrome extensions
- Integrating high and low-tech strategies that enable efficiency and work completion using their personal digital devices and other recommended materials.
Hub participants will also explore a range of actionable, real-world information related to understanding and strengthening their executive function skills.

- 6th and 7th grade Hub meets 2X per week.

The Whale Sharks meet 2x per week on Mondays and Wednesdays.

- Parents schedule a Google Meet call with Dan and see if the Hub is a good fit for your child.
- If yes, schedule a brief meet and greet so we can all say hello in person, you and your child can see the office.
- Register
Details:
- Upon registration parents will receive a discovery form which will provide an opportunity to share information about your child's learning profile, strengths, weaknesses, areas of focus, etc. This background information will help inform the support your child receives.
- A 25-minute debrief mid-way or after the Hub dates is included in the registration fee.
- Parents can schedule additional consultation time.

What's a Hub session like?
- Check in: share news of the weekend, successes, obstacles, goals for the week
- Fun, engaging, mini-lessons about executive function skills, technology for productivity, self-advocacy, attention and focus at school/home, big emotions, communicating with teachers, etc.
- Targeted coaching on homework assignments and other work. If there is nothing there will be specific materials based on the discovery process / intake.
